IWE

Authors

Elina Zazulia, Mariia Moshchenskaia

Duration

5 min (looped)

Full description

The project ‘IWE’ is an audiovisual exploration of the subtle and complex interaction between humans and their environment, as well as their mutual shaping. The central motif is the image of a digital flickering matter created using neural networks that generate graphics based on photographs of skin and birch bark. Projected onto the natural texture of the Birch House, these abstract compositions transform it into a new, evolving organism, where the human element becomes a continuation of the environment, and vice versa. Thus, in the ‘IWE’ project, the artists demonstrate how elements of the surroundings imprint themselves on our bodies through emotional and physical contact with a place, while at the same time, the objects around us capture our presence in their form.
