Orchidic
Full description
Orchidic is a multi-channel video installation emerging from long-term embodied encounters with orchids in the Colombian mountains. Within a humid high-altitude microclimate shaped by mist, drifting light, and slow atmospheric fluctuations, these plants entered perception not as symbols or visual motifs but as living presences that modulated attention through subtle micro-movements and environmental responsiveness.
Rather than depicting orchids, the work translates prolonged sensory proximity into a synthetic perceptual environment using AI-generated textures derived from orchid surfaces. The imagery unfolds as a shifting field that never stabilizes into fixed form — shapes stretch, dissolve, branch, and reassemble in continuous transition. The digital image operates as a permeable, breathing space of unfolding matter.
